JobUncover

Frequently asked questions

Does JobUncover invent skills or experience I do not have?

No. Your CV only contains what is already in your profile, and so does your cover letter when you get one. If a posting asks for something you do not have, we flag the gap instead of filling it in.

Will JobUncover contact recruiters or employees for me?

No, never. All research comes from public sources we dig up ourselves: company sites, registries, news and public reviews. Nobody is messaged on your behalf.

What if a job posting asks for a human written application?

We stop after the research and fit analysis and hand you an outline with the key points instead. You write the final text yourself.

What happens to my CV and the job posting text?

Your CV and the posting text are processed by Anthropic, our data processor, under a contract that forbids using your data to train models. See the privacy page for the full list of what is stored and for how long.

How much does it cost?

Three levels, priced in credits per application: Shortlisted is 1 credit, Standout 2 and Top Candidate 3. Credits come with a monthly plan you can cancel any time, Casual (10 credits for $10), Committed (30 for $25) or Serious (90 for $60), or as top-ups you buy once that never expire (8, 22 or 46 credits for $10, $25 or $50). See the pricing page for what each level includes. Every new account starts with 3 free credits, enough for one Top Candidate application or 3 Shortlisted applications, so you see a whole result before you pay anything.

What does the free trial include, and can I get it twice?

Every new account starts with 3 free credits, enough for one Top Candidate application or 3 Shortlisted applications. No card is needed. It is one gift per person: addresses with a plus sign and dotted variants of the same Gmail address are not accepted as new accounts, and the credits have no cash value.

Can I cancel my plan?

Yes, any time, from the credits page. The plan runs to the end of the month you paid for, your credits stay until then, and nothing is charged again. Unused plan credits do not carry over to the next month. Top-up credits never expire.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Nothing is deleted automatically, and you can delete your account and everything in it at any time from your settings.

What happens if I get a refund?

A refund reverses the whole payment it came from: a top-up's credits, or the credits of the plan month that was paid, not just the credits you have not used yet. If you already spent some of them, your balance can go negative, and you need to add credits to cover it before starting a new application. If you are in the EU, you can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days for credits you have not used.

Is JobUncover a job board or a recruiting agency?

No. We list no jobs, work with no employers and take no money from them. You find a posting on your own, paste it in, and the software prepares your documents for that one application. Nothing about you is visible to anyone else.

Does a person write my documents?

No. JobUncover is software you run yourself. It reads your CV and the posting, checks the fit and reshapes what is already in your CV for that role. There are no human writers, nothing is invented, and you can edit every line before you send it. It works like a CV builder, not a ghostwriter: your facts, your document, your edits.

How long does an application take?

Shortlisted takes about five minutes, Standout about eight and Top Candidate about nine. You can close the page. The result waits in your applications.

Which languages does it work in?

English, German, French, Spanish and Italian, for both the interface and the documents. The documents follow the posting's language by default, and you can pick another when you start an application.

What if a run fails?

If the application fails on our side, the credits for that run are returned to your balance automatically. If the company research cannot be done, that part's credits are returned and the rest still completes. You can also report a problem from the application page and we will look at it.
